A humidifier or dehumidifier is a sealed water tank with a motor in it — heavy, awkward and unhappy about being dropped. Velaris Terrace packs and dispatches every order itself from Jaipur, and this page gives the real handling, transit and cost figures.
Cut-off and handling
Orders confirmed before 3:00 PM IST on a working day start handling the same day. Handling is 2 business days, Monday to Saturday. In that window every unit is powered up briefly on the bench: the display lights, the fan spins, the tank seats and the float switch is checked. Units are shipped dry — never with water in the tank.
How a unit is packed
Appliances travel in their own retail carton inside a second outer box with fill, because a single wall does not survive a stacked pallet. Tanks are taped in place so they cannot slide against the housing, and loose parts — filter, adaptor, drain hose, remote — are counted in and bagged.
Delivery times
- Metro and large-city PIN codes: 3–6 business days after dispatch.
- Rest of India: 6–9 business days after dispatch.
- Transit overall: 3–9 business days depending on distance.
- Order to doorstep: 4–11 business days including handling.
Consignments move through Blue Dart / XpressBees. Hill and island PIN codes can add a day or two on the last leg.
What it costs
Free on orders of ₹3,999 and above. Below that a flat ₹99 on the whole order — one figure regardless of weight, on the cart page before you pay and never topped up afterwards.
Cash on Delivery and UPI
Pay by UPI in advance or take Cash on Delivery. COD covers most serviceable PIN codes; some remote routes and unusually high-value orders are prepaid-only, and checkout tells you which applies before you confirm.
Tracking
Tracking goes out by email and SMS at dispatch. A quiet day usually means a hub transfer. If nothing moves for more than 48 hours, email [email protected] with your order number and we will chase the carrier ourselves.
Run it once on the day it arrives
Record a short unboxing video, then fill the tank at the tap and run the unit for ten minutes. A leaking tank, a dead display, a fan that will not spin or a missing part shows up straight away, and reported within 48 hours of delivery with that clip we replace or refund at our cost under the Refund and Returns Policy. A unit unpacked three weeks later cannot be assessed for transit damage.
Voltage and plug
Units are supplied for Indian domestic supply with an Indian plug unless the listing says otherwise. Do not run one through a travel adaptor or an under-rated extension lead.

India only. Velaris Terrace is an online-only shop working out of Jaipur, Rajasthan, with no showroom, no service centre and no collection in person.
